General Applying Rules
- Use the Forum
If you get stuck on something tell us about it on the Help section of the forum. Also, applications will only be taken when posted on the forum in the Applications section. We will not take e-mail applications or inquiries.
- Mary Sue & Clichés
Any individual who knows how to write and write well should know all about Mary Sue and what is considered clichéd. If you do not know what a Mary Sue is or are not familiar with clichés I suggest you either do some reading or find another RPG. Characters with such traits will not be accepted. - Complete Applications Only
We will not accept or even look at partially completed applications. Make sure that what you are submitting is 100% done without any sections left unfinished. Also we suggest doing a print-out of your finished application so you can have a tangible version that you can look over for any problems.
- Be Patient
Depending on how busy we are the people who review your application might take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to give a verdict. - Character Rules
You may have three (3) player characters with a maximum of two (2) from any particular affiliation and may only apply for one character at a time.
Plots
If you wish to create a mini storyline (such as AUs) please talk it over with the GM as well as any other players you may want to involve. Do not conflict your storyline with the main storyline unless you have permission from the GM. “What ifs?” are okay (as a Side Story) as long as you label it as such; this pertains mostly to coupling, but can also be used for alternative stories for characters.
Killing Other Characters & Power Playing
Killing a PC (player character) shouldn’t be done. Even if you have the character creator’s permission you must inform the GM of it beforehand. In addition, you may not “power play”–which basically means you may not control someone else’s character, as well as your own, without the other person’s permission.
Relationships between Characters
Relationships are fine, be they heterosexual or otherwise. Also, because of the rating of this game, it is fine if you wish to include sexual or erotic descriptions. Please remember that any and all sexual situations and relationships must be something agreed upon by both parties (player-to-player); nothing forced or assumed. We expect all our authors/writers to be aged 17 or older and mature.
Violence & Bad Language
Violence and gore, for the lack of a better statement, is: splendiferous, wonderful, and quite simply desired. Please be somewhat tactful with how you word things and describe them as a full page of how a person’s arm is torn off isn’t kosher with us. Swearing is fine too, just don’t go crazy with it.
Lack of Participation
If you don’t participate in any stories an e-mail will be sent to you after someone notifies us or we take notice of your absence. We will send a total of three e-mails, one every two weeks. If you fail to respond to these e-mails and/or still don’t participate in any stories in six (6) weeks, your character will be open for play by someone else. In other words, you’ll be kicked out and someone else can apply for what was once your character.
Quitting the Game
If you want to quit and don’t plan on coming back then you can either kill your character off or leave her/him open for someone else to fill in and play. If you kill her/him then later decide you want to come back it might be possible to resurrect him/her if, and only if, that character slot is not taken.
Leave of Absence
If you’re planning to commit yourself to this game then you’ll need a fairly good excuse if you want to take some time off. Tired of the game isn’t an excuse worthy of time off. Family problems or something “big” occurring within your household is. If you’re granted time off we’ll either work it so someone will fill in for you or your character will do something to put him or her out for a while. If and when you do need to leave, please go to the Answering Machine on the forum to drop off a leave of absence message. We will GREATLY appreciate it.
