Oppositio Solidus is a story about the descendants of the original oppositio senshi from the Super (Famicon) Nintendo RPG Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon: Another Story. Instead of being killed, as they were in an alternate ending of the game, the senshi were instead taken to a primitive world in an alternate dimension. This world, called Shuana, resembles our own world. Because of the influence and guidance of the oppositio senshi, the peoples of this world merged together to form a civilization much like Babylon, which was called New Babylon respectively.
The descendants of the opposition senshi are now treated with respect and honor, passing their newly given duty as protectors of Shuana as the dubbed "avatars of the gods" through bloodline, mixed with the sacred tradition and religious practices of Shuana's people. For the most part, peace has reigned throughout the entirety of the planet, with evils easily taken care of by these soldiers, however as of late it seems the battles are becoming more and more intense. Is this a prelude to something that may eventually overcome and destroy them all?
Casting & Characters:
The character of Oppositio Solidus consist of the descendants of the original six opposition senshi, as well as an additional twenty-six, each named after a Babylonian or Assyrian god or goddess. These thirty-two opposition senshi are divided into three teams: the elders, the younger elemental, and the younger aspect. The elder team consists of the descendants of the original six oppositio senshi, the younger elemental consists of all the "elemental" opposition senshi, and the younger aspect team consists of all non-elemental forces that are aspects of life, culture, and nature.
The villains (or antagonists) of the story are the ancients, utukki, and the anunnaki. The ancients and utukki are apart of the first arc (meaning, one "season") and the anunnaki are apart of the second. The ancients consist of Apsu, who was in the original story, and Tiamat, her counterpart. With them are the utukki, who are the seven renowned demons from the underworld that can be described as being anthropoid. The anunnaki (otherwise known as the "doorkeepers") are a different kind of evil, with paralleling objectives and goals. They too come from the underworld and bring about hordes of the living dead about them.
